Peter J. Micklewright
PGA Head Golf Professional



Pete is in his 11th year as Head Golf Professional at Edgewood and has been a PGA member since 2003.  He comes from a golfing family where his father is a PGA Master Professional and his Aunt and Uncle are both PGA members.  His previous experience has come from well respected facilities such as Baltusrol Golf Club, Plainfield Country Club, The Loxahatchee Club, and Blue Ridge Country Club.  Pete also taught at the Simon Holmes academy for two winters.  Pete qualified for the 2004, 2008 and 2010 National Club Professional Championship.  Adding on to those playing achievements, Pete also holds the course record at Edgewood (63), Green Oaks Country Club (63), and West Shore Country Club (65).  Pete was awarded the 2013 Tri State Merchandiser of the Year.  Pete and his wife Julie, along with their daughter Lena, currently reside in Plum.



Steve Matthews
Outside Operations Supervisor


Steve starts his 15th year at Edgewood. He is married to his wife Nina and they have two daughters, Natasha, and Alicia.  Steve has enjoyed working in the golf industry for over 25 years.  His motto is "service with a smile", which you can see routinely see on a day to day basis.  He is a graduate of Toledo University, and when he is not working you will find him at church..


Michael Frisina
PGA First Assistant Professional

Mike is in his third year here at Edgewood. He was elected for membership into the PGA of America in March of 2013.   Mike is from Corry, Pennsylvania which is located Southeast of Erie and has been a scratch golfer since the age of 16.  Mike is a 2012 Graduate of Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC where he majored in Business Administration and Professional Golf Management. He was a 4 year member of their golf team and helped the Monarchs to a 3rd place finish at the 2011 NCAA National Golf Championships. Mike was also a member of the 2012 Jones cup team representing Methodist University.  Prior to Edgewood, Mike was the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at Little Mountain Country Club in Concord, OH. 


 

Steve Flash
PGA Assistant Golf Professional

Steve is in his third year here at Edgewood. Steve was elected into PGA membership in March of 2000 in the South Florida Section. Steve is a local, growing up in Point Breeze and graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School. Steve graduated from Mississippi State University with a Business Administration and Professional Golf Management degree. Steve has worked as the first assistant professional at the Ocean Reef Club, a private resort in Key Largo, Florida and Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin, host of the 2015 PGA Championship and future host the of 2020 Ryder Cup matches.

 

Tommy Jones

PGA Assistant Golf Professional

Tommy was born and raised locally in Allison Park, Pennsylvania. He is a recent graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Penn State University.  Tommy was elected to PGA membership in March of 2017 in the Tri-State Section.  Tommy completed a three month internship at ECC in 2014, as well as a six month internship in 2016.
